On display - two wallpaper designs, hand quilted bed throw, a selection of nightwear and duvet covers
Drawing inspiration from the sea, Harriet’s work explores the idea of different emotions, mirrored through the effects of weather, wind and waves, demonstrated by the smoothness of washed pebbles and the harshness of jagged rocks and gnarled barnacles. The aim is for the fabrics to reflect this emotive feel through print, embroidery and fabric manipulation. The fabric choices also hint at the idea of masculinity and femininity: soft, smooth fabrics with delicate patterns and colour schemes complementing tougher materials with bolder and deeper tones.
